Imerovigli is the village that Malteza private villa is located. You can find Imerovigli by taking the road going towards Oia. It is the next village after Fira & Firostefani on the famous Santorini caldera. Its position at the highest, most central part of the caldera gave it visual command of the whole area. It also derived importance from its proximity to Skaros Fortress. Imerovigli has views of the volcano, breathtaking sunsets and tranquility. The largest part of Imerovigli was destroyed in the 1956 volcano eruption.

Separating Kamari from Perissa on top of Mesa Vouna is Ancient Thira. This archaeological site, which was first claimed by the Dorians (ancient Greeks) in the 9th century B.C., is home to ruins from the Hellenistic (Greek empire built by Alexander the Great), Roman and Byzantine (eastern Roman empire) eras. Stroll through Ancient Thira and you’ll find ruins of ancient religious sites, a theater, old city administrative buildings and even a gym for military trainees.

Ammoudi port can be reached by car (you have to circle round the bottom road of Oia village), by walking down the 235 steps, or by catching a ride on the back of a mule. At the bottom is a small harbour with fishing boats, waterfront amazing fish taverns and restaurants, and a path that leads you around the base of the mountain to an excellent diving area.

Fira is the capital of Santorini. It can be found on the west coast of the island, on the caldera cliffs opposite the volcano. Modern day Fira is the cultural and commercial center of the Santorini.There is so much to choose from and so many places to explore. Oia is best known for breathtaking sunsets; if truth be told, sunrise in Oia is also magical.
